About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. The right candidate must possess a background in wholesale or retail accounting and demonstrate a strong understanding of product and inventory financials.

The accountant will manage essential accounting processes, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) functions, as well as assist with financial reporting and payroll management. As part of a small, collaborative team, the ideal candidate will approach the accounting department as "customer service" to internal and external stakeholders.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Oversee AR processes, including billing, collections, and reconciliations, and provide reports to the CFO.
• Manage AP transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments and resolving any vendor issues.
• Maintain accurate records of GL transactions, perform regular reconciliations, and support monthly financial reporting.
• Reconcile statements for Customers and Wholesellers
• Implement and manage cost accounting processes that are product-based
• Assist in payroll management and reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for the CFO.
• Work on ERP conversions and improve internal processes as needed.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of accounting experience.
• Prior experience wholesale or retail environment with progressive responsibilities is required.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise desktop and Excel.
• Experience with Shopify Ecommerce and retail inventory management preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of payroll processes and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly in conversions from QuickBooks Enterprise (QBE).

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, plus potential bonus. Agile Talent Consulting
