The Behavioral Health Technician I position is responsible for providing direct and supportive care to clients/patients. You will work in a collaborative environment, supporting clients through health monitoring, crisis intervention, and facilitating structured activities. Key Responsibilities include admitting, supervising, monitoring, transferring, and discharging clients/patients; monitoring vital signs and escalating to medical intervention when critical symptoms present; obtaining and recording vital signs and relevant medical symptoms; overseeing medication administration per policy and procedure; maintaining accurate records of client medications; facilitating client supervision checks; encouraging clients to adhere to program expectations; documenting and reporting exceptional behavior; assisting in admission/orientation process; preparing and facilitating group rehabilitative support, education, recovery skills, or recreation groups; maintaining a safe and clean environment. Education and experience requirements include a High School education or equivalent and two years of responsible employment, with experience in Human Services or related field preferred. Additional qualifications include successful background checks, current driver’s license and insurance, First Aid and CPR certification within three months of employment, and extensive knowledge of program policies and procedures. Physical requirements involve sedentary work with occasional exertion up to 10 pounds.
