We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cable Technician to install, maintain, and repair cable television, internet, and telecommunications systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for running cables, configuring network equipment, and troubleshooting service issues to ensure high-quality connectivity for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain cable TV, internet, and phone systems in residential and commercial properties.
  • Run and route cables, including coaxial, fiber optic, and Ethernet, through walls, attics, and underground conduits.
  • Set up and configure modems, routers, and other networking equipment.
  • Conduct signal tests and troubleshoot connectivity issues using specialized tools.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company protocols.
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining services, answering questions, and educating customers on proper equipment usage.
  • Document installations, repairs, and service reports for company records.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to resolve network and service outages.
  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in good working condition.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications are a plus).
  • Previous experience as a cable technician or in a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of cable TV, fiber optics, and networking principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Work Conditions:

  • Outdoor and indoor work environments, sometimes in adverse weather conditions.
  • Climbing poles, attics, or working in crawl spaces.
  • Requires standing, kneeling, or crouching for extended periods.
  • Travel to multiple job sites daily.
