The Sales Engineer (SE) reports to the Director- Central Fill and is responsible for growing the Central Fill client base and driving revenue by identifying and closing new opportunities for coordinated high-volume pharmacy fulfillment solutions. The SE is a domain expert who analyzes process requirements and develops outstanding fulfillment solutions from BD-Parata’s product portfolio. The SE articulates the solution’s value to internal and external teams as a key element of the sales process. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, knowledgeable in automation processes and pharmacy workflow, able to interpret and generate CAD drawings, and experienced in capital equipment systems procurement. Duties include traveling to customer sites, supporting sales teams, educating sales teams, evaluating opportunities, liaising between resources and clients, designing creative solutions, compiling proposals, responding to RFI/RFP inquiries, maintaining contact with installed base, and assisting Central Fill operations. Knowledge required includes pharmacy dispensing processes, state laws, robotics and conveyor-based fulfillment design, IT network design, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office. The role requires up to 60% travel and a BS/BA in Engineering, Industrial Automation or similar, with 7-10+ years in capital equipment sales/support. BD prioritizes on-site collaboration with a minimum of 4 days in-office per week for most roles, with some remote/field-based exceptions. Employment may require COVID-19 vaccination proof.
