About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer with a Master's degree and a significant background in leading compliance within a complex, multi-location healthcare system. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of effective compliance and privacy programs, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulatory requirements as well as internal policies and procedures. This role involves reporting to the Board of Directors and the CEO, and collaborating with various stakeholders including the General Counsel, medical staff, community leaders, government agencies, and legal advisors. The Officer will also be tasked with maintaining a system of management reporting, leading compliance committee meetings, and providing project management for key organizational initiatives with compliance implications. Applicants for the Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer position at the company must have a proven track record in utilizing data management and analysis to enhance reporting and presentations, as well as in enhancing compliance and privacy training to foster positive employee engagement. The role requires experience in areas such as Medicare and Medicaid billing, anti-kickback, fraud and abuse, managed care compliance, and a deep understanding of various compliance issues. The ideal candidate will have experience in privacy risk assessments, compliance monitoring, and maintaining current knowledge of privacy laws and standards. They will also be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of information privacy policies and procedures, and must be adept at working with all levels of the organization to ensure a culture of lawful and ethical compliance.
