Work hours M-F 7:30am-6:30pm (variable shifts)

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 1+ years of Sterile compounding in an IV room as a Pharmacy Technician.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE 1+ years retail, mail order, long-term care, or hospital experience as a Pharmacy Technician

TOP RESPONSIBILITIES Processing non-compound prescriptions and verify appropriate information. Sterile compounding of prescriptions, inventory management,
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS General knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations. Good mathematical skills in order to make basic calculations. General knowledge of all state and federal regulatory requirements, i.e. HIPAA, State Board of Pharmacy. Strong organizational, detail and follow-up skills in order to achieve stated goals. Ability to solve problems for which standards solutions may not be available; can identify problem and deter best solution Ability to handle multiple activities and deadlines. Ability to work effectively within a team environment. Ability to work in an organized and calm fashion in a busy environment. Ability to perform tasks or other activities with limited opportunities for deviation from approved practices and procedures.
What does the ideal candidate background look like (ex: healthcare specific background specific industry experience etc.)? 2+ years experience in sterile compounding.
What skills/attributes are required (please be detailed as to number of years of experience for each skill)? Compounding experience preferred.
Does this position require a professional license or certification? Active, valid pharmacy tech license in the State of Florida.
