About the Role
The Company is seeking a Dean for its Honors College, a role that is pivotal in fostering a community of student scholars dedicated to academic, creative, and service pursuits. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and articulating a strategic vision for the Honors College, leading budget management, and supporting the Honors faculty. Community engagement and the promotion of a culture of collaboration are also key aspects of the role. The Dean will be expected to create and execute a vision for the Honors program that is inclusive and differentiates the College from similar programs, as well as to devise a recruitment plan to attract a diverse student population. The ideal candidate will have considerable administrative experience in a complex research institution, a collaborative leadership style, and a strong understanding of the intersection between research and education in a diverse, urban setting.
Applicants for the Dean of the Honors College position at the company should hold a terminal degree and have a record of distinguished research, scholarship, and teaching. Professional qualifications include a history of successful fiscal management, experience in leading or teaching in honors programs, and a proven ability to make collaborative decisions.
