Our Emerging Talent Programs, which includes Interns, Trainees, and Finance Rotational Associates, offer unique opportunities for students, recent graduates, and emerging talent to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences. You will be provided with challenging tasks, real-world experience, and many educational and social networking opportunities.
This Spring Internship is from January through May 30th (start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules) and all candidates must be able to work part-time hours (10-29 a week). Our offices are open Monday through Friday, 9-6 pm. This position is ideal for a student enrolled in an accredited college or university. A hybrid work structure may or may not be available.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
Our team supports the Game Shows Division. We work on Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy!, and any other property currently in development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Design Intern reports directly to the Creative Director, Game Shows Brand Creative & Digital Marketing, and will work closely with the Productions/Creative Operations team on day-to-day task management. This role will help our team’s designers and editors execute strategic design solutions for social and digital asset creation for our main brands and IPs. We also build creative for internal partners like the Licensing team and the Development team. Because we work on a wide range of deliverables, this internship is a combination of production design and graphic design. In addition to standalone design deliverables, you can potentially also work on brand toolkits, logos/show graphics packages, and custom graphics for in-house edits. We’d like to work with someone who is a detail-oriented individual who can deliver creative requests and assets with light supervision. Projects include but are not limited to emails, microsites, blog posts, banner ads, and social content like GIFs, stories, stats posts, and thumbnails. Must possess a solid understanding of traditional graphic design, plus static, video, and animated asset production, and best practices for social and digital assets.
This person is a great communicator and is punctual. Raise hands if there are any concerns around tasks, personal capacity, and/or deadlines. They maintain an efficient workflow and process and promptly communicate any issues regarding design and production to management. Can also manage assets and archives projects accordingly. Exhibit willingness to take on responsibilities outside of their job description and can stay on pace in a fast-paced environment.
Presents a positive and professional attitude to stakeholders and co-workers. Maintains familiarity with social and digital design trends and the relevance of fast and slow trends. Exhibits an innate sense of curiosity. In addition to a design background, our ideal candidate will also have a good grasp of animation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be LA-based and able to work a hybrid onsite schedule
Min. 1-2 years in social and/or digital environment
Agency and/or content studio experience
Great compositing skills, typography, color correction, retouching
Proficient working knowledge of Abobe Creative Suite
2D Design/animation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3D Design
Powerpoint and Keynote experience
Broadcast media experience
