Director of Maintenance

  RHW Management, Inc., a national hotel management company with hotels located in Colorado, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. is seeking an experience Director of Maintenance to help lead the dynamic team at our TownePlace Suites located at the Kansas City Airport. As a Director of Maintenance, you will ensue smooth operations of the hotel by leading, coaching and mentoring of the maintenance staff, while ensuring that maintenance goals are met and ensuring guest satisfaction is exceeded in accordance with Marriott Standards.

We are seeing candidates with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a Director of Maintenance capacity. Preferred candidates will have experience as a Director of Maintenance of a Holiday Inn or IHG product. Exceptional leadership and communication skills are required as well as proficiency in preventative and repair maintenance. You will be the foundation of and model for a fun, positive, and optimistic leadership team focused on maximizing guest satisfaction and IHG Standards.

Esstential Duites and Responsibilities

Preventative Maintenance on guest rooms
Preventative Maintenance on public areas
Preventative Maintenance on major equipment
Documentation of work performed on all major equipment 
Logs of all required temperatures
Pest Control 
Maintain Fire Safety Logs and Fire Panel information
Key Control
Keep all Supplies and tools stocked & organized and in working condition 
Hire / Train / Coach/ Discipline / Fire, and with the approval of the General Manager of the Hourly Maintenance Technicians
Training of Fire Safety and emergency procedure
Responding to any and all guest requests for Maintenace 
Comply with and Enforce RHW and IHG specified guidelines and standards
Interact with and respond to guest's questions
Maintain a flexible work schedule of all members of the department
Maintain accurate records of all PM's 
Operate department within budgetary guidelines
Available to work on call and accessible via cell phone at all times unless otherwise excused
Organize weekly Maintenance Dept. meetings
Participate in RHW and Hotel sponsored events
Serve on the Safety Committee
Train employees on proper chemical safety 
Attend Staff Meetings
Helping other departments when needed or assigned
Running outside errands to pick up errands
Develop and maintain rapport with other RHW Hotels 
Assist with the organization of renovations
Maintain the outside property grounds
