Professional Dog Trainer I or II
Law Enforcement Dogs, Detection Dogs & Family Obedience Training
Join a dynamic team of professional dog trainers at Northeast Ohio’s premiere dog training facility and canine security service. We provide security dogs to Northeast Ohio’s professional sports teams, local law enforcement agencies, public safety officials, and families seeking the highest level of support and security dogs.
Currently, we have positions available for experienced dog trainers who are looking to increase their professional experience and credentials. We also have positions for professional trainers who already have a significant amount of experience in the industry and wish to acquire supervisory or managerial experience. Currently, we have positions that are both part-time and full-time. Some positions require evenings and weekends due to our contractual obligations with public facilities, professional sports teams, and law enforcement agencies that need us to train and support staff members onsite.
Qualifications:
Valid Ohio Driver’s License; must pass a background check and security clearance review as it relates to criminal history, drug use, and United States citizenship.
All applicants should have some level of dog training experience and the desire to learn new skills, acquire industry certifications, and grow in profession.
Ability to work in small teams, communicate in public settings, and coordinate details and logistics with clients and team members.
Certifications are preferred but not required as part of pre-employment but may be required as part of your training and professional development.
Salary and Compensation:
Well qualified candidates can qualify for a salary or full-time position with a total compensation package between $40,000 – $60,000 a year.
Less experienced candidates or those seeking only part-time positions with limited responsibilities can earn $17.50 - $25.00 an hour.
