3rd Shift - Full Time Prepare, prime and paint parts, sub-assemblies and complete machines, both prime and finish coats. Operate booth and have working knowledge of the paint vault equipment. Operate shot blast to clean materials. Identify material. Utilize and conform to standard work when available.
Requirements:
- Previous paint experience in a manufacturing environment
- Secure job assignment and partial instruction for routine and ordinary work, facilities and materials.
- Determine sequence of operations.
- Identify, clean and prepare parts, sub-assemblies, and complete and complex machines for painting using wire brushes, scrapers, solvents, emery cloth, sandpaper, masking, etc.
- Position work manually or with jib or overhead crane.
- Mix paints and thin or heat to proper viscosity.
- Apply evenly with hand brush or spray gun maintaining proper stroke, spray pattern, nozzle adjustment, paint, and air pressures.
- Apply finish coat to the product in order to meet the specified quality standards.
- May apply decals as required.
- Protect other work while painting.
- Clean facilities after use.
- Perform above operations on parts, and sub-assemblies such as frames, gears, drums, sheaves, links, booms, dippers, walkways, cabs, railings, and houses, complete machines and other of similar complexity.
- Identify and position work piece onto transfer car manually or with jib or overhead crane. Position transfer car in shot blast using shop mule, crane or winch.
- Operate shot blast, etc.
- Keep facilities, materials and work area clean and orderly, exercising care in their use and assisting in their maintenance as required.
- Conform to safety and inspection requirements.
Additional Information: - This position is located at the Caterpillar manufacturing facility located in South Milwaukee, WI
- 3d shift - Full Time
- The hourly rate depending on experience is Step 1 -$26.86 Step 2 - $27.97 Step 3 - $29.10 hr plus a $1.00 shift differential for 3rd shift.

Summary Pay Range: $26.86 - $33.57
