Position Summary:

htea cafe is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Chef to join our kitchen team. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes, assisting in menu execution, and supporting kitchen operations for our pizza, hot dog, pasta, wings, and salad menu. The ideal candidate has a passion for cooking and a commitment to food quality, consistency, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Food Preparation & Cooking

   • Prepare and cook dishes according to htea cafe's recipes and quality standards.
   • Maintain a high level of consistency in food taste, presentation, and portioning.
   • Assist in prepping ingredients and organizing the kitchen for efficient daily service.

2. Quality Control

   • Ensure that each dish meets quality standards before it’s served.
   • Follow food safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment.
   • Minimize waste by using ingredients efficiently.

3. Support Team Collaboration

   • Work closely with the Kitchen Manager and fellow kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
   • Help train new team members on food preparation techniques and kitchen protocols.
   • Communicate effectively with servers and other team members to fulfill customer orders.

4. Inventory & Equipment

   • Monitor kitchen stock levels and inform the Kitchen Manager when supplies are needed.
   • Use and maintain kitchen equipment properly, following all safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• Experience : 1-3 years as a line cook or chef in a café or casual dining setting.
• Skills : Proficiency in preparing pizza, pasta, wings, and salads; strong knife and cooking skills.
• Knowledge : Basic understanding of food safety and kitchen sanitation.
• Attributes : Positive attitude, reliability, attention to detail, and a passion for creating delicious food.
