Responsibilities:
Lead SAP AMS Consultant (P2P) Location: Normal, IL Job type: Long Term Contract Responsibilities: - Manage production support, working closely with the Offshore Team Lead and team members to address day-to-day support tickets.
- Acknowledge, analyze, and update ticket details while resolving issues or assigning them to relevant team members.
- Proficient in ticket management tools such as SNOW and JIRA.
- Monitor and update ticket status, keeping users informed.
- Strong understanding of SAP functionality with standard configurations for the P2P module.
- Monitor batch jobs, taking appropriate action on canceled or long-running jobs.
- Understand the design and functionality of Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows, as well as identifying standard Fiori Apps.
- Perform system unit and integration testing, ensuring changes are tested and issues are resolved.
- Provide support for day-to-day role-based issues and manage tickets until resolution and closure.
Qualifications: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- SAP certification is preferred.
- 8-10 years of experience as a functional consultant in SAP Materials Management (Procurement and Inventory management, Accounts Payable).
- Experience working independently as an SAP MM consultant on real-world SAP implementations.
- Expertise in key materials management functions including Material Master, Vendor Master, Info-records, and other master data.
- Strong knowledge of standard and custom Fiori apps.
- Hands-on experience in Material Planning: deterministic, consumption-based, forecast, and reorder point planning.
- Knowledge of hierarchical and variant BOM structures.
- Extensive experience in direct and indirect material procurement, services, and capital procurement.
- Proficient in PR, PO, scheduling agreements, contracts, release strategies, and workflows.
- Expertise in output procedures and methods.
- Experience with all goods movements and intra/intercompany STO processes.
- In-depth knowledge of valuation, price control, and pricing procedures.
- Experience with P2P integration to EWM, O2C, and R2R.
- Handling of EDI, ALE/IDOC, and other interface methods.
