Job Details
This person will be responsible for selling steel construction services, construction labor, building materials etc. to various homeowners and companies throughout the Permian Basin. The job requires identifying, cultivating, and closing small and large construction opportunities, maintaining existing sales and generating new contacts.
This position will cover West Texas. We are open to hiring someone in a large geographic area...This person must be comfortable regularly driving (company vehicle provided) to areas like Big Spring, Midland, etc.
Provide high quality professional service and knowledge to clients in order to fulfill their needs and desires.
Assist construction site workers in various ways in order to meet customer deadlines. This is including but not limited to… small material deliveries (trim, screws, doors, insulation), anticipate changes to the structure and order materials and supplies accordingly, schedule and have dumpsters and other services delivered as needed.
Supervise the jobs you’re in charge of. This includes ordering materials and scheduling concrete on time and accurately. Perform weekly site evaluations at minimum to ensure the job is correct and on schedule.
Meeting established and agreed annual sales quotas to help progress the company.
Build sales rapport with potential clients
Manage and cultivate key relationships with existing customers and identify new opportunities to grow those accounts.
Attend meetings and share ideas to help better the company and sales department including possible marketing strategies or needed content for your customer base.
Accurately calculate material and other costs required to erect a building
Coordinate and speak with the customer, involved employees, and management to clarify needs, deadlines, and progress throughout each project.
Know your inventory at all times (specs, pricing, trim options, what’s in stock)
Maintain professional appearance and provide a positive company image to the public.
