The Position: Web Developer/Marketing Technologist/Wordpress Developer

We’re looking for a talented Marketing Technologist with a sixth sense for brand, attitude, and communications…someone who is not afraid to be bold and take chances. The role requires a high level of organization, communication and a great eye for detail. It’s perfect for someone who wants to collaborate and think through all the possibilities with their team.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Daily management and long-term development of frogdesign.com (+.de and .cn) and our thought leadership platform DesignMind.
2. Finding/developing new technologies and methods to advance our web and brand presence.
3. Managing updates, bugs, releases, and improvements.
4. Working on special web projects.

Required Skills

To be considered, candidates must have professional experience in delivering commercial solutions in the following:

• 3+ years professional experience with WordPress, including Restful APIs, themes and plugin development.
• 3+ years professional experience developing with PHP, HTML/5, CSS3 and implementing responsive design.
• Professional experience with Linux and Nginx.
• 1+ years professional experience with React.js, Webpack, Redux.js, Node.js and Express.js.
• Familiarity with git workflow process.
• Ability to work closely with Designers to create responsive design and animations.
• Knowledge of Drupal is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• A self-starter with a great eye for aesthetics and details.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Major plus if you’ve worked in a Marketing Department before.

Deliverables

• Manage website development with prior experience coding, managing and updating websites with WordPress as backend CMS and WP’s restful APIs connecting to the front end framework.
• Stay updated with software development best practices as it applies to mobile and/or web-based applications.
• Build and manage large, content-rich websites for marketing and publishing.
• Stay on-top of website development best practices as well as pitfalls.
• Code in React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery and PHP and other Web Development languages on a daily basis.
• Implement and customize responsive themes.
• Work with Marketing and Design on projects that are public facing.
• Work with source control tools (svn, cvs, git) and branch management as well as setting up sandbox environments for development.
