Job Description

Creative Financial Staffing is paired with a nonprofit organization seeking to add an Intern to their team.
The organization is looking for someone to be onsite in Watertown for 32-40 hours per week during the summer season.

About the Organization Seeking an Intern:

• Founded 70 years ago, this organization works to provide services to individuals with disabilities to improve their quality of life and independence
• They consistently have partnered with other Boston-area non-profits to assist in bigger missions for many people with disabilities
• The organization believes in fiscal responsibility and regularly checks to make sure that a majority of its revenue goes back to helping the individuals they serve rather than any other costs
• The individuals on the accounting team have great longevity; the CFO and Accounts Receivable Specialist have been with the organization over six years and the Accounts Payable Specialist has been for over a decade

Responsibilities of the Intern:

• Assisting with accounting functions for the organization
• Helping with digital and physical filing
• Learning bank reconciliations
• Ad hoc projects to support finance operations

Background Expected of the Intern:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, related field in progress, or 2+ years of experience in an accounting role
• Desire to work with a nonprofit organization
• Availability for on-site work in Watertown 32-40 hours per week

Hourly rate:
Range from $16-22/hr depending on any previous experience
