Position Summary/purpose The Talent Acquistion Manager is responsible for attracting, identifying and selecting highly qualified professionals (top talent) for Immatics open positions. This is a hands-on role that will spend 50% of time in supervision of the Talent team and 50% of time for handling own requestions for a busy biotechnology company that usually handles about 50-100 job requisitions per year.
Essential Functions: Managerial function:
- Plan, lead, and execute talent acquisition efforts at Immatics US to assure high quality (top talent) is hired. Manage tight deadlines and effectively communicate progress daily, weekly and quarterly.
- Reconcile the number of open positions on all platforms on a daily basis. Assure data accuracy and completeness of the US Hiring Plan.
- Supervise the Talent Acquisition team's progress. Double check, follow up, and assure team members adherence to the work plan daily. Report on performance metrics weekly.
- Assure jobs are posted and updated frequently on multiple, frequently visited sites.
- Organize and execute recruitment programs, partnerships, internships, and apprenticeships with colleges and universities.
- Maintain relationships with professional networks to source qualified candidates.
- Ensure a regulatory aspect of the full cycle recruitment process is compliant with federal and state legislation.
- Continuously research best practices and create new tactics to improve talent acquisition processes.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Update current and design new talent acquisition procedures if needed (e.g. job application and onboarding processes)
- Keep track of talent acquisition metrics (e.g. number of open positions at any time, time to hire, new hire turnover, etc.) - quarterly.
Hands-on Talent Acquisition Function:
- Participate in the talent acquisition function with the team hands-on about 50% of time (handling own requisitions).
- Review resumes and qualifications to determine suitability of candidates daily. Triage and manage the ATS daily.
- Source applicants through various methods including LinkedIn, social media, advertising, job sites, career fairs, etc.
- Make recommendations to the hiring managers and directors.
- Phone screen candidates, schedule, and coordinate interviews, conduct reference checks and align with the hiring managers as needed.
- Inform candidates fully about the job and company.
- Provide regular updates and feedback to managers on the talent acquisition status.
- Extend offers of employment within company procedures.
- Manage the job offer including negotiation and administration.
- Create job descriptions and update as needed; Review and clarify job specifications, competencies and skills required.
Secondary Functions - Participate in job fairs and career events.
- Present talent acquisition relevant information to line managers and/or site in monthly meetings.
- Collaborate with the administration department to promote employee engagement. Provide input on which events and activities will be held. Actively participates in engagement strategy but not the actual organization of events.
- Collaborate with the Global HR Team in Germany to align processes and organizational development globally.
Required Qualifications (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills)
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- At least five years of talent acquisition experience, of which two are spent supervising talent acquisition team members.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to think critically when phone screening, interviewing or reference checking.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills)
- High volume / high quality talent acquisition experience from a staffing agency is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills preferred.
