A strong academic record from a nationally recognized law school is essential, and an LLM in Taxation is preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Advise clients on tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and international transactions. Provide comprehensive legal counsel on tax-related matters to corporate and individual clients. Draft and review legal documents, including tax provisions in contracts, agreements, and other corporate documents. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop tax strategies that align with client's business objectives. Conduct detailed tax research and analysis, staying updated on current tax laws and regulations. Represent clients in negotiations, disputes, and proceedings related to tax issues. Manage multiple ongoing matters simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate completion of work. Maintain and build strong relationships with clients through effective communication and problem-solving. Requirements: 3-5 years of tax law experience, specifically advising on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and international transactions. Strong motivation, initiative, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent matters and meet deadlines. Excellent client relations skills, with experience handling diverse client needs and expectations. High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school. Education and Certifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a nationally recognized law school. Active Bar membership in California or obtaining membership within a reasonable timeframe. LLM in Taxation is preferred but not required. Skills: In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations. Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax legislation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail and organizational skills.
