We are currently seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Permanent Tax Transactional Associate to join our dynamic legal team. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in high-level tax transactions, working directly with clients to provide comprehensive tax solutions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our firm's tax department, working with a team of professionals to deliver top-notch legal services in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Tax Transactional Associate, you will be expected to perform a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
1. Providing expert advice on a wide range of tax matters, including corporate tax, partnership tax, international tax, and state and local tax.
2. Assisting with tax due diligence, structuring transactions, and drafting tax-related documents.
3. Researching and analyzing complex tax issues, developing innovative solutions, and implementing effective tax strategies.
4. Reviewing and interpreting tax laws, regulations, and court decisions to ensure compliance and identify potential tax savings.
5. Collaborating with other team members and clients to manage, plan, and execute tax transactions.
6. Preparing and presenting clear, concise, and comprehensive written and oral reports to clients, colleagues, and senior management.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Tax Transactional Associate position should have:
1. A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in transactional tax, preferably in a law firm or corporate environment.
3. Admission to the state bar.
4. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
5. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
8. Proficiency in tax software and other relevant computer applications.
