AUDIT SENIOR A regional CPA firm located in Pittsburgh, PA, is hiring qualified candidates to join our audit team. We are seeking local candidates to serve our Pittsburgh-based clients, as our next Audit Senior.
Audit Seniors serve the needs of clients by planning and performing audits, reviews, and compilations, while collaborating directly with the Manager or Partner on the engagement. Our work includes executing planning, engagement completion, and reporting requirements. This role provides an opportunity to communicate with the client on all phases of the engagement and begin fostering client relationships. You will prepare financial statements and disclosures, evaluate the client's system of internal control, and tailor the audit approach accordingly. You will also make independent decisions determining which procedures to perform to arrive at a desired level of assurance. While most audits are performed remotely, there may be necessary local travel to the client site as needed. Audit Seniors will train and advise staff level accountants or interns on interesting and complex engagements.

- Hold practical experience working through each phase of an audit engagement
- Can foster meaningful client relationships
- Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting (CPA preferred or ability to obtain license in the future)
- Have a thorough understanding of accounting principles including generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS) and generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP)
- Provide excellent technical and project management skills
- Effectively communicate, both verbally and in written form
- Exhibit an advanced level of professionalism when representing the firm
