Job Description: Baptist Health is looking for a Data Specialist to join our team in Lexington, KY Under minimal supervision, is responsible for the collection, coordination, processing and quality control of research related labs, specimen submissions and clinical trial data. The ability to transmit research related data from EMR or paper into numerous electronic databases for review independently with minimal transcribing errors. Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively in a fast passed, ever changing team environment. Essential Duties:

• Assists with screening of patients coming through the research program for potential protocol eligibility.
• Maintains and reports monthly screening log.
• May assist with coordinating patient follow-up.
• Prepares patient records for and participates in monitoring visits and audits.
• Reviews patient charts and collects study data information required for reporting purposes.
• Assists in coordination of scheduling protocol-required procedures or research patients.
• Ensures positive customer relations interactions.
• Carries out additional duties as assigned.
