HR Assistant Job Summary:

The successful HR Assistant will first and foremost be extremely reliable, pro-active and have superior customer service skills. This position is more of entry level administrative. This position requires a responsible individual who can commit to being at work on time and who has experience with organizational tasks. This position is paper intensive and requires attention to detail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties

· Assists Human Resources Manager with various HR communications and administrative functions, including Department of Labor posters, staff attendance tracking, etc.

· Shares responsibility with other HR staff for overall operations of the department.

· Submits employee data reports by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data.

· Provides secretarial support.

· Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.

· Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)

· Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc.)

· Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc.) and take minutes

· Communicate with public services when necessary

· Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews

· Performs other duties as assigned.

· Timely and regular attendance.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

· Prior experience in human resource roles is preferred

· Familiarity with Microsoft office software a plus
